My wine estate, located in the town of Saint-Andelain (France) in the Nièvre region, just north of Pouilly-sur-Loire, includes 13 hectares of vines with an average age of 20 years.
My vineyards covers a 3 km area surrounding the winery.
When I began my winemaking venture in 1991 I had three hectares of vineyards. This has expanded today to 13 hectares which include 76 ares (are=100 square metres) of appellation Pouilly-sur-Loire (Chasselas) and 12 hectares of appellation Pouilly-Fumé (Sauvignon).
I grow the Pouilly-Fumé in three soil types: clay and flint-based soil, clay-limestone soil and Caillottes.
My wine cellar located in "les Berthiers" is in the township of Saint-Andelain.
